15 year activity in Maldives liveaboards



Entry requirements:
No visas are require to go to the Maldives. Please check your passports to make sure they are valid for at least another six months. Alcohol, drugs, and pornographic material are not allowed.

Climate: Air temperatures are constant throughout the year averaging around 85F. water temperatures range from 82F to 86F.

Electricity: 240 volts. Several 110 volt converters are on board, but it is advisable to bring voltage converters and international adapters.

Vaccinations are not necessary.

The crew on board is Maldivian but a European/American cruise director, speaking English, will be responsible for the good success of the cruise. He will also be available to fulfil requests of the guests.

Currency : Maldivian currency is in the from of rufiyaa and larees. American dollars, traveler's checks and major credit card are widely accepted.

Clothing: Casual cotton clothing is best for most occasions. There are no dress requirements aboard, however, when on land modest clothing, covering thights and shoulders is recommended.

Language: The main language is Dhivehi, however, English is widely understood and spoken.

The food is a well-balanced mixture of international and Maldivian cuisine ( based on fish and tropical fruits ).

Fishing is carried out for consumption porposes only, and can be an interesting activity for the guests. The boats are equipped with local fishing equipment. It is suggested to everyone to bring a pair of leather gloves, and to real experts, to take with them their personal fishing equipment.

Photography: to the photographers it is suggested to take with them spare materials ( film, etc ) because , locally, there are difficulties in finding these items.

Spear fishing: is forbidden and under very expensive fines.

Environment: please take good care of the environment by kindly taking back with you used batteries, suncreams and plastic bottles.

Drinks: drinking water, tea and coffee will be supplied free of charge. Mineral water will be charged USD 3 per bottle of 1.5 liter and soft drinks USD 2. Alcoholic drinks are available.
