Seafari Adventures started business in 1987. At first a
one man run by Giorgio Rosi Bellière, the company
has grown considerably and is today the undisputed leader
in the Maldives liveaboard industry operating and marketing
worldwide 5 boats of various standards.
 |
Giorgio Rosi Bellière has been a manager
of a multinational oil company for more than 20
years. In 1982 he went for the first time to the
Maldives as a tourist and fell in love with this
magnificient place, one of the very few "Last
Paradises" on earth. He kept going back to
the Maldives for a few years for diving cruises
on the unconfortable boats available in those
days.
In 1987 with a Maldivian partner he built a boat
of a higher standard suitable for demanding italians
customers. Nobody was offering liveaboard diving
with a good boat in those days and the success
of the formula was immediate. The demand grew
fast and additional boats had to be built. In
1992 the boats were three, in 1994 four, in 1996
five and they were marketed in many other European
countries.

In 1993, Seafari Adventures approached the North American
market. The needs of the US market were different, requesting
boats of even higher standards, fully airconditioned and
able to offer 4 dives/days. Therefore a new boat was planned
and in February 1996 "Madivaru 7" started operation.
"Madivaru 7" is the only boat able to offer
4 dives/days in the Maldives and the feed back from the
customers is more than satisfactory.
Seafari Adventures entered the Far East markets in 1995.
